MOTHERS' PRAYERS
Mothers Prayers
A prayer group for mothers who wish to pray for their children and grandchildren and is for all women who wish to pray for children.
'Stop your crying and wipe away your tears.
All that you have done for your children will not go unrewarded.
They will return from the enemy's land.
There is hope for your future.
Your children will come back home.
I, the Lord, have spoken'. (Jer 31: 16,17)
Mothers prayers was started in November 1995 and has spread rapidly to over 100 countries with thousands of groups throughout the world
Two grandmothers Veronica and her sister–in-law Sandra felt led by the Lord to start Mothers Prayers and pray in a special way for their children.
This prayer group provides an opportunity of growing in and deepening our relationship with the Lord, learning to surrender to His will and trusting in His love and generosity. We place our children in his care, knowing He wants the very best for them.
Mothers Prayers is predominately Catholic but open to all faiths.
We meet on a Monday (term time only) in the Church hall at 10.30am, and sessions normally take about one hour.
Testimonials:
I look forward to Monday morning’s as it is our Mothers Prayers morning, a lovely beginning to the week. It is such a special time when we can spend time set aside to pray for our children, grandchildren and children throughout the world, and any other intentions. We have wonderful fellowship together and support each other, and we have received answers to our prayers.

I find Mothers Prayers is my most pious group prayerful experience. I feel united in prayer not only with the other mothers present, but with all Mothers Prayer groups throughout the world. I always am aware of the presence of God amongst us every time. The words God loves your children more than you do resonates with me. So I entrust my children to His loving care, they are His most precious gift to me.

I always have prayed for my children on a daily basis and Monday had always been the day I dedicated to pray for them ardently, listening to what God was or wanted to tell me about them. Mothers Prayers was a great blessing as I realized the worries I had started having about my children and the world around them, the Lord had already addressed them through Mothers Prayers. The answer was a simple one, “entrust them to me and do not worry” This is a promise I stand on and I know God is faithful. I want to be faithful to Him in response by doing just what He asks or is asking of me, “surrender your children into my care”.
Thanks be to God that He is greater than all the worries, fears, dangers that we all are faced with daily in our lives.
